I've never shared my birthdays here before, so I think this is a good time to share one. Got the first birthday cake from my bf and tbh I wasn't that surprised by his presence due to the fact that he comes to my house every year on my birthday to join me eating noodles (as an Indonesian born chinese, there's this custom to eat noodles on the birthdays, symbolising longevity). However, the cake from him this year was a hit, it was really cute I love it :) I also received loves from my friends, family, and coworkers. So yeah, basically my birthdays have always been filled with so much love, fun, smiley faces and people who mean the world to me.

Beatus, Surabaya
For those who lives here in Surabaya, you must've heard about Beatus Alfresco dining & grill and its famous dish. It is the soon-to-be-legendary Caramelized Butter Crab. My bf and I have heard good things about the experience, and I decided to treat him there on my birthday. Needless to say the meal exceeded everything I had expected. We were blown away with our meal. Im not a fan of seafood but this was simply the best crab meal I can find in Surabaya. The tasty sauce worth every penny. Both my bf and I had happy, full bellies after leaving. In conclusion, I'd encourage anyone who has any interest in dining here to make a reservation and try it out because you will sit down to a meal you won't soon forget. I spent like IDR 900.000 or $70 for 2 portions of crab (around 400g each). Crab comes with rice.

LaReia Cake & Co Cafe, Surabaya
My bf and I found this fancy cafe during our unemployed hour when we walked around the mall (Ciputra World Surabaya). It's located next to the end of long escalator at the 3rd floor. I then decided to have a quick brunch the other day with my other friends there. We ordered brunch menus and hot tea from Gryphon. Over all, we weren't blown away by the brunch menus. I found it too expensive for the decent taste. I suggest you to order the desserts and hot tea instead. However, it was a nice place to sit down, enjoy a cup of tea, and take selfies :p because of the pleasant atmosphere, clean interior, and supportive lighting. They really had a good taste to make the place lovely as well as relaxing.

My Graduation Day
I put a long term to-do-lists on the top right side of my blog. Do you spot any difference? So I finally change my ninth point into something else, because I'm officially a graduate now! It's one of the most important day in my life because my four years struggle is paid of. I did set goals for my university life, that is, getting a satisfying GPA and award whatever it is because I want to give a little payback to my parents that has spent huge amount of bucks for this. Thank God I achieved both goals :) I got my Magna Cumlaude and Best Student Award! God gives me abundant blessings and I can't be more grateful. What I'm gonna do next is always being happy, thankful, excited, enjoying my life more, and be the best that I could be.
In my country, there's a "custom" or whatever they call it, where female graduates wear traditional clothes called Kebaya on their graduation day, so I choose to comply to it. However, kebaya skirt is usually long and fitted which is uncomfortable so I decide to take a slight change by making it short ;)

Rush! Rush! Rush!
I just realized it’s been almost a month since my last blog post. How the hell did time pass me by so quickly? I have been so busy these weeks with some Voilawish Party Designer projects that I’m working on, that required my full attention. There are so many ideas in my inspiration boards that I am facing the pressure of narrowing my focus more, something I struggle with when it's time to make decisions is weeding out all the ideas that I can't do all at once. But I'm getting so excited and really can't believe this is finally happening, Voilawish is growing! Ironically, I abandoned my college tasks and my final thesis.
As much as I enjoy this blog, it’s still have to be second to many other things. Hopefully early next month I will be less busy and this blog will return to its flourishing self. I might be few and far between for a bit, but I'm thinking of you and hope to get back and blogging regularly as soon as I humanly can :) miss you all! Hugs!

Kayu Restaurant
Last saturday night, we decided to have Japanese cuisine. We had dinner at Kayu Contemporary Japanese Restaurant that serves authentic Japanese dishes. We booked the city view room. The service was not so excellent, the staff wasn't approachable, but the price is just right and the place was nice.

The quantity is too small for the price.
